Another lazy day. Brad
went back to Guitar Center to check on a guitar. The travel guitar he borrowed and brought
just isn’t working for him. He shipped
it home and bought something else. Then
he worked most of the day.
The girls and I met Tamara and her girls for brunch at The
Blue Plate. It’s a cute local
restaurant. Then we went shopping! We got Audra a swimsuit and Carmen some
flip-flops because she lost one of hers.
I drove them downtown so they could see the Temple. They were only barely impressed.
We did not even go to the Great Salt Lake. Tamara said we should drive over there just
to say we did, but that this time of year the brine flies are thick and
oppressive. She said not to get out or
roll down your windows. On Antelope
Island’s website at the top in red is a “note” saying that the gnats are
hatching. They advise you to wear long
sleeves, pants and a hat with a net.
HA! We skipped it. I saw it from afar. Phil and Tamara live up in the hills and have
a great view of the city and of the lake.
It was just so great to be with friends. They are such a sweet family.
