We were going to drive half way to
De Smet, SD today, but the campground we wanted to visit was full, so we
decided to wait one more day. In this
part of the country where the summers (camping season) is so short, the
campgrounds are packed on the weekends.
We went in to Bismarck to do
laundry and go to Walmart. Brad dropped
us off at a Laundromat – our first one!
(we’ve managed to find campgrounds with laundries often enough to not
need a town Laundromat) – and he went on to Walmart. The laundry had a little barber shop in the
corner so you could get a haircut while waiting on your clothes. One guy did just that. The TV was on a black and white Judy Garland
movie and Audra was glued to it. The
family in the movie was camping and they had a teardrop camper just like
ours! She thought that was very neat.
After all that, back to camp for
our last night in ND.
