Day 82 (Aug 6) – Medora, ND

Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota.  3 days in a row, 3 states in a row.  Whew!  I’m tired.  And really hot.  It was 99 here today.  I know most of my friends and family back home (and in the southeast in general) have spent the whole summer with temps like that, but we have gotten spoiled to cooler temps.

We hung out at Medora Campground for a bit (the girls in the shade of the camper and Brad and I IN the camper).  Then we drove over the few blocks to the little town? Village?  Tourist area? Of Medora.  At least the shops had A/C.  At 7:00 it was still hot and I didn’t feel like cooking so we went to Badlands Pizza Parlor and got soda and pizza.  We were thirsty so we drank and drank.  The girls are still wide awake (10:22) because of caffeine (and candy).  We stayed long after we were finished to watch Olympics on their TV.  We finally got to see a women’s gymnastic competition (uneven bars) and it was the first one Gabby didn’t win.  She didn’t even medal.  L  It was still fun to watch.

Tomorrow: Theodore Roosevelt NP
