Day 192 (Nov 24) – Reunion

Today I met some of my long time friends for lunch in Florence.  These are some of the girls I have been really missing.  It was such a happy reunion.  We will be getting together for a proper reunion with the whole gang soon, but this will tide me over till then.

Also, Audra and Carmen turned the 4-wheeler over.  Thankfully they got away with only a sore hip and a bruised knee.

Also, Alabama beat Auburn.

Day 191 (Nov 23) – Brad’s Grandmother

Today we went to Florence to visit Brad’s grandmother.  She is in Mitchell-Hollingsworth doing rehab on a broken arm and pelvis.  She looked great and is slowly improving.

In order to even things out, we had a photo shoot of Audra when we got back!

Day 190 (Nov 22) – Thanksgiving

The weather has been beautiful.  I watched a lot of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.  The girls watched a little and then escaped outside to play – everything from riding the 4-wheeler to having a photo shoot of Carmen.  We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner.  There was also some football.

Day 189 (Nov 21) – Unpacking

It is hard to believe how much stuff was in that camper!!  We started unpacking it today and cleaning and organizing.  We are leaving the camper here so we have to have it unloaded and winterized before we go home.  We also have to have all of our stuff packed into the truck.  Or make a trip back down here before long, which I’m sure we will anyway.

Day 188 (Nov 20) – Travel Day to Town Creek, AL

We drove 5 hours today to Brad’s parents’ house.  It feels like we are a baby step away from home.  We are closer than we’ve been the whole trip, but also, Nana and Pop’s house feels almost like home.  Glad to be going home for the holidays.

Also – we got to see our cat!  Nana and Pop have been cat-sitting for us.  We are thankful to them for that, but glad to see our kitty again.  Whisper… we’re almost home!

Day 187 (Nov 19) – Thanksgiving #1

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Dixie’s parents' house.  Yum.  The kids watched "The Lorax," which we had all seen together in the theater!
