We gave Brad his BD present
first thing – “Darth Vader and Son” – a cartoon book of Darth Vader and Luke’s
would be adventures as typical father and son.
Then we set out to Amelia Court House, VA to visit his metal detecting
buddy, Sal and his family. They were so
hospitable and welcoming – his wife Ashley, 2 ½ year old daughter Nora and 3
month old daughter Josie. Precious! My girls had a fabulous time with their
girls. Nora immediately attached herself
to Carmen and they climbed the magnolia tree, drew with sidewalk chalk and
Carmen pushed Nora on her riding toys.
Nora was constantly looking for “my girl” (and sometimes “my boy” –
she’s still figuring out the meaning of those words!)
Sal and Brad hunted after
dinner and the girls (moms too!) went to bed. It
is nice to be in a house again!
