Day 120 (Sep 13) – Shopping and Metal Detecting

We are really not big shoppers, but given the right circumstances …  Brad had to take his laptop to the mall in Portland this morning.  We had to take him, because someone was picking him up from there to meet another guy to go metal detecting.  The girls and I hadn’t been in a mall in a while, so we took the opportunity to do a little Christmas shopping and lots of wishful looking.  We didn’t buy too much because we were heading next to Freeport for outlet shopping.  We did happen across season 1 of The Brady Bunch, which we have been on the lookout for, on sale for $9.99.  Had to get that.

Then we went back to Freeport for outlet shopping.  This is the home of LL Bean.  We each found a ‘souvenir’ from there.  The girls didn’t last a whole lot longer.  They were hungry and tired and ready to come back to camp.

Brad got back after dark - also hungry and tired (and sore).  He had a great day and made two new friends.  One he already knew from the Colchester Forum (Eng. Metal detecting club).  He found a button that may be civil war era.  It was a beautiful day to be outside.  He enjoyed having the opportunity to get out and dig.
