One month down, five to go.
We couldn’t take the heat of Moab.
We found a forecast of cooler temperatures at Capitol Reef NP, so we
headed there. We are staying at a really
nice campground (Thousand Lakes) close to the park. It is about 20 degrees cooler because of
higher elevation. There are also high
winds today and tomorrow, but we can handle that.
We didn’t do much today.
We slept in, drove a couple hours, set up and explored our new
campsite. We needed a day to recuperate.
